These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our luxury houseboat services. By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by the following terms. Please read them carefully before confirming your reservation.

1. General Information

Akalapuzha Houseboat offers luxury houseboat cruises along the serene backwaters of Kerala. Our services are available for bookings via our website, phone, or other authorized platforms. These terms apply to all bookings, services, and interactions with our company.

2. Booking & Reservations

  • Reservations: A booking is considered confirmed once we receive a deposit or full payment, as per the booking terms outlined at the time of reservation.

  • Payment: Payments can be made via credit card, bank transfer, or other payment methods specified on our website. The full payment is required before departure, unless otherwise agreed.

  • Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email with booking details, including the date, time, and itinerary of your cruise.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Cancellation by Guest: If you cancel your booking, the following charges will apply:

    • More than 30 days before departure: Full refund minus any transaction fees.
    • 15 to 30 days before departure: 50% refund.
    • Less than 15 days before departure: No refund.
  • Cancellation by Akalapuzha Houseboat: In the rare event that we need to cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances (weather, technical issues, etc.), you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule your trip.

  • No Show: If you do not show up for your booked cruise without prior notice, no refund will be issued.

4. Changes to Bookings

  • Guest Request for Changes: If you need to make changes to your reservation (e.g., date or itinerary), we will try to accommodate your request subject to availability. Additional charges may apply.

  • Company Changes: If we need to alter or reschedule your booking for any reason, we will inform you at the earliest and provide a suitable alternative, or offer a full refund.

5. Boarding & Departure

  • Arrival Time: Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure to complete the check-in process.

  • Late Arrival: If you arrive later than the scheduled departure time, we cannot guarantee the cruise will begin on time. No refunds will be given for delays caused by late arrivals.

  • Identification: All passengers must present valid ID at check-in. International guests may need to provide additional documentation.

6. Guest Responsibilities

  • Behavior: We expect all guests to behave respectfully and responsibly. Any disruptive, offensive, or illegal behavior will result in immediate disembarkation without a refund.

  • Personal Property: You are responsible for your belongings. We are not liable for any loss or damage to personal property during the cruise.

  • Health & Safety: We recommend that guests with medical conditions or special needs inform us prior to booking. All passengers must follow safety instructions provided by the crew.

7. Insurance

We highly recommend that you obtain travel insurance that covers cancellations, medical emergencies, personal injury, and lost property during your houseboat journey.

8. Liability

  • Damage to Property: You are responsible for any damage caused to the houseboat or its property during the cruise due to negligence or inappropriate behavior. You may be charged for repairs or replacements.

  • Force Majeure: Akalapuzha Houseboat is not liable for any delay or cancellation caused by natural disasters, weather conditions, governmental restrictions, or any other circumstances beyond our control.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

We respect your privacy and handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Your personal information will only be used for the purposes of booking, communication, and service delivery.

10. Health & Safety Protocols

  • COVID-19: We adhere to the health and safety guidelines set forth by local authorities. This may include mask-wearing, social distancing, and sanitization measures on board. Please check the latest guidelines before your trip.

  • Safety Briefing: Prior to departure, all guests will receive a safety briefing. We request that all guests follow the safety guidelines for a safe and enjoyable experience.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Country/State]. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in the courts of Kozhikode

12. Amendments to Terms
